Everything we do affects society

This project was another manipulation of the paste up idea. I found working with this idea in conjunction with a product and a package to sell moved it forward. I had to create a rebellious campaign to get the audience’s attention for a product the target audience would be drawn to through the aesthetics. This took a completely different turn within my research, as the transition from putting the posters in the target audience’s environment to steal their attention, to on a shelf in a designer stationery or gift shop where the package design was required to draw it out. I learnt a lot in this brief, not only about designers as a target audience but also about typography and attention to detail.

Print Magazine

This was a competition amongst students worldwide to create a cover that conveyed the future of print within a graphic design setting.
My goal with this project was to portray the need to use recycled goods while paying attention to the physical element of the paper, the emotional connection people have with being able to touch and feel a source of reading material in their hands as opposed to via using buttons and looking at a screen. I used visuals of multiple textures to communicate this idea.
I went through a lot of different ideas with this brief and chose to go with the idea that literally answered the question in association with the magazine as a brand.

Wedding Stationery

This freelance job was challenging as I had to communicate the personality of the couple in a formal, yet fun and uplifting way, after having only just meeting them. I went through a number of different visual approaches and came to a conclusion with the couple by morphing different ideas together. This was a great process for me as I learnt a lot about packaging and working with strong yet undefined direction.

Configure Express

This is a client that had a specific style that came with their brand image, one that I could not divert away from, so I was unable to be so creative. Nevertheless, Configure Express was a great client to work with. I was hired to create an advertising campaign for the Feel Fit and Fab challenge that was launched in August 2010. This encompassed designing a logo, magazine article, posters, flyers, vouchers, class booklets, stickers, a television commercial and helping to design the website additions.
